For high-speed performance, efficiency is key. We’ve engineered Mode, our high-speed performance wing, with high tensile strength N-Weave 45 cross-weave reinforced woven fibre airframe and Matrix N-HTRS canopy for the most efficient power delivery on the market. Developing these new material technologies has allowed us to create a stiffer, lighter and more durable wing without geometric compromise (and without the high-performance price tag). N-Weave 45 reduces structural deflection and transfers wind energy into greater forward speed, explosive boost and hangtime for freestyle tricks. We’ve specifically designed our new low-stretch, low-deflection Matrix N-HTRS high-tenacity canopy material to manage the added tension of the N-Weave 45 airframe, further increasing the wind range, and holding its shape in all conditions. The Mode has a fast, VMG-optimized design, which lets you sail closer to the wind, on higher upwind angles, and reduces your need to tack or gybe. We designed the Mode primarily for high-speed performance, but the stiffer airframe also translates into unprecedented loft for higher jumps and forward momentum on landings. With incredible high-end stability, the 3.5 to 4.8m are ideal for use in stronger winds, while the 5.5m and 6.8m are optimised for greater power in lighter air. The wing has a balanced lower aspect ratio with rounded wingtips to reduce tip strike, and the new panel layout delivers wingtip stability and increased tension under load. Featuring Carbon GripLock rigid micro-trim control handles for immediate response, and gybe-friendly window positioning.

• VMG optimised design: The Mode Pro’s fast, VMG-optimized design enables you to sail closer to the wind, on higher upwind angles, reducing your need to tack or gybe, so you reach the mark as quickly as possible.
• Freestyle and Freeride Performance: We designed the Mode for high-speed performance, but the stiffer airframe also translates into unprecedented loft for higher jumps and forward momentum on landings.
• High end stability and impressive wind range: The 3.5 to 4.8m are designed for use in stronger winds, while the 5.5 and 6.8m are optimised for greater power in lighter air. The larger 6.8m is ideal for going at higher speeds in lighter wind. It might be trickier to get up on the foil but once up on the foil it has higher top-end speeds than the Loft Pro (speed is foil dependent too).
• New panel layout: Stabilizes the wingtips and increases tension under load
• Compact outline with reduced wingspan: Balanced lower aspect ratio design with rounded wingtips to reduce tip strike
• Connected dual inflation valves: This enables you to inflate the strut to a higher pressure than the leading edge. The connecting hose allows rapid single-point inflation and deflation. The N-Weave material also has a higher inflation pressure capacity, which enables you to to use a smaller wing size, without sacrificing power.
• Gybe-friendly window positioning: We’ve placed two smaller windows in front of you so you can see downwind. We’ve also placed a window towards the end of the strut for a visual on what’s behind you.
• N-Weave45 Airframe: The new cross-weave reinforced N-Weave 45 airframe creates a stiffer, lighter rig that holds its shape when under load and has a highly efficient power delivery. The biaxial 45-degree laminate helps to control the torsional stiffness of the airframe. North developed N-Weave, a low-elongation, high tensile strength woven fibre, to help reduce geometric compromise in our inflated structures. N-Weave45 reduces structural deflection and transfers wind energy into greater forward speed, explosive boost and hangtime for freestyle tricks. The weight savings translates into greater performance, more efficient power delivery in light air, and makes the wing easier to handle in all conditions. N-Weave also has very high cut and abrasion resistance. The UPE fibres that make up N-Weave are known for their resistance to water, moisture, most chemicals, UV and microorganisms. UPE is also known for its durability and toughness.
• Matrix Canopy: Compared to a traditional canopy Matrix is 2.5x stronger on the 0/90deg warp/weft direction and 5x stronger on the 45deg bias direction. This gives your wing canopy greater structural integrity for longer. It will maintain its designed shape over time, especially when used in the overpowered conditions that the Mode Pro excels in.
• Carbon GripLock Handles: The lightweight carbon handles radically transform the way you ride, with instant control and reduced hand-fatigue. The two long handlebars are wrapped in a soft EVA grip for comfort, and enable you to slide your hands into optimum trimming positions to control the wing’s pitch, yaw and roll, while keeping your body positioned perfectly over the foil. More freedom in your hand placement lets you choose the best feel based on the conditions, your arm length, and your body size.

**Wing size is dependent on rider weight, ability and foil setup. The recommended wing size is calculated on a 75kg rider of intermediate ability. Except for the 1.9m, which is designed for lighter riders (under 50kg) or for skateboard sessions.
